Snelling Staffing is hiring dedicated Cooks to support a healthcare dining program in West Allis, WI. This position plays an essential role in providing nutritious, well-prepared meals for patients, staff, and visitors in a clean and professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, portion control, and dietary standards.

• Maintain safe food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

• Ensure meals are prepared on schedule and meet quality standards.

• Assist with kitchen setup, cleaning, and inventory management.

• Work collaboratively with the food service team and follow supervisor direction.

Requirements

• Must pass a criminal background check and Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check.

• Must complete fingerprinting through the local police department (required by Wisconsin DHS).

• Must pass a drug screening prior to starting work.

• Must provide proof of current flu vaccination (or valid exemption).

• Previous cook or food service experience preferred (healthcare or institutional setting a plus).

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.

Schedule

• Full-time position

• Shifts vary (day and mid-day), with rotating weekends and holidays
